The Stübben Brush On Detangling Spray is a mane and tail detangler from the Stübben Care line. It detangles instantly, adds shine and volume and keeps dirt off the hair for a long time; knots come out without washing. With us in three fragrances, in a 500 ml spray bottle and in refills of 1 L, 2.5 L and 5 L.
About this Brush On detangler
Stübben calls this a Mane & Tail Spray: you spray it straight onto a dry or lightly damp mane or tail, allow a few seconds for it to absorb, then brush through from the ends to the roots. No rinsing needed. According to Stübben you can also spray it onto the coat to loosen stains, which helps when washing is not an option.
The make-up is a water-based solution with less than 5 % surfactants, non-ionic and anionic, plus fragrance and preservatives. According to the safety data sheet it also contains dimethylpolysiloxane, 1 to 5 %: the silicone oil that smooths the hair. The pH is between 7 and 7.5 according to that same sheet, and the product is fully soluble in water. Worth knowing: keep out of reach of children, and the product contains 1,2-benz-isothiazol-3(2H)-one, which may produce an allergic reaction.
The three fragrances differ only in their perfume components. Cherry Blossom contains hexyl cinnamal, linalool, benzyl alcohol and alpha-isomethyl ionone; Sunflower adds citronellol, benzyl salicylate and geraniol; Rose and Green Tea adds limonene, geraniol and butylphenyl methylpropional. The base formula stays the same.
Mind the size. Only the 500 ml bottle has a spray head. The 1 L, 2.5 L and 5 L versions are officially refills at Stübben: containers without a sprayer, with which you top up your 500 ml bottle. Within our range this is the series that lets you work in volume; the Leovet 5-Star Ontklitter in 550 ml and Leovet Coat Sheen & Tangle Free in 550 ml exist only as single bottles.
